What questions are asked in Part 1 of the IELTS speaking test?
IELTS Speaking - Part 1
The IELTS Speaking Test has three parts. The duration of the Test is 11-15 minutes. Part 1 is conducted like an interview and is about 4-5 minutes long.
Part 1
Before the test begins, the examiner will introduce himself/herself and check your identification.
The first part will quiz on familiar and common topics. This part aims to determine whether you can communicate and express your opinion on everyday topics.

#What are some useful tips to keep in Mind for IELTS Speaking Test-Part 1?
1.Be Confident. Confidence is the key to scoring well in this section. Remember that there is no right or a wrong answer.
2.Show interest in the question. Even if you are asked a question that you are not prepared for, try and answer it confidently. Do not feel hesitant.
3.Develop your answers. Avoid giving one word or concise answers. It's good to make the answer a little detailed and exciting.
For example, if you are whether you enjoy reading books. So not finish the answer by just saying yes, I do. Instead, give details about the last book you read, your favorite author, the genre you enjoy reading. Make sure the answer is 3-4 sentences long.
4. Don't overthink
Remember that you don't have to give every detail on the given topic. You have to develop the main ideas. Also, you will be marked on your pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and coherency. Not the amount of the information you provide.
