Application Process

  • Scan of your diploma (high school or Bachelor’s degree
  • Transcript/record of your previous courses
  • Scan your passport
  • Your CV
  • Testing scores
  • Evidence of scholarship or funding
  • Letters of recommendation (between 2-3)
  • Portfolio and/or writing samples
  • English proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency.
  • Master’s courses in Canada are usually for one to two years as a full-time study program.
  • Educational experience of a minimum of 16 years with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in a Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • If you have 3 years of bachelor’s degree, then a 2-year master’s degree is mandatory. Few institutions also accept a 3-year Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of educational experience.
  • IELTS with an overall score: of 6.5.
  • GRE scores with a score of 260 (This requirement is usually required for Engineering and science-based programs)
  • Many Business schools in Canada require you to take the GMAT exam with a minimum score: of 650 for Master’s in management areas like MBA, Finance, and Accounting
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • A strong score in tests such as the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
  • Applicants will need to submit a Research Proposal
  • Statement of purpose
  • Your Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • 2 or 3 letters of reference (including one from your intended supervisor). Your referees should be academic, where possible.
  • Academic transcripts and degree certificates are required
  • If applying for an arts/humanities Ph.D.) a portfolio of creative work is required.
  • Once your application is accepted, you should apply for your study permit, which acts as your student visa for your stay. Students should also take out health insurance, and check your university’s website for orientation advice.
