#Overview of Task 1
In GENERAL Writing Task 1, you will be given a situation, and you will have to respond to it by writing a letter. The letter can be either formal or informal, according to the question.
Standard letters are usually written to institutions, people in authority, or people you do not know. Informal letters are written to your loved ones, friends, and family.
It is recommended that you spend about 20 minutes to plan and write a letter. The set word limit is 150 words. Failing to meet the word limit will result in deduction marks.
You can be tested on any of the given types a) An Apology, b)Letter of the complaint, c) A Request, d)Letter of Application and resignation, e) Letter to make an Arrangement, f)An Invitation.

#Brief about all the possible question in the IELTS General Writing Task 1

An Apology: As the name suggests, an apology letter is written to express regret for one's actions.

Letter of complaint: It is the most common type of letter in the IELTS Test. It expresses concern and displeasure about what went wrong—for example, bad service by a company, delivery of damaged goods.

A Request: In this question, you will be given a topic and person to whom the letter will be addressed to. For example, you have to request a leave application from work for a week.

Letter of Application and Resignation: Generally, you have to write a job application letter. You have to introduce yourself, highlight your experience and skills, and why you are interested and suitable to hold a particular position. You have to write a resignation letter to resign from your current workplace.

Letter to make arrangements: As the name suggests, in this question, you will be asked to write a letter to the concerned person, requesting him/her to make specific arrangements. For example, you plan a stay with your family at a hotel. You will write a letter to the manager of the hotel to make the required arrangement.

An Invitation: The invitation can be a formal invitation to an informal invitation, according to the question. You can be asked to invite your friends for a New Years’ party or invite a public figure for your office's inauguration.
