In New Zealand, there are two types of Master's degrees - Coursework & Thesis based. Eligibility requirements for both of these are different. If you hold an honors degree (i.e., 16 years of education - BE/BTech) or a postgraduate diploma, then only are you eligible to apply for a Master's study by thesis.

Eligibility criteria for study Bachelor's in New Zealand -

Minimum GPA requirements

Many universities in New Zealand require students to have a percentage between 60% to 75% in their earlier degree qualifications. (Some universities are a bit flexible on these criteria & some might even require 85%)

Academic documents & credentials

This includes your various mark sheets, transcripts, passing certificates & etc., from your secondary/high school or diploma.

English Proficiency test scores

International students are also required to provide proof of their English language competency, i.e., their TOEFL / IELTS / PTE scorecards.

Letter of Recommendations

Universities also require students to submit recommendation letters from their professors, school principal, and supervisors stating that they are well-performing and studious students who can do well in pursuing higher education abroad. Be careful and choose someone who knows you well.

Essays & Statement of Purpose

Universities also require students to write essays on different topics and their motivations to study abroad.

Some B-Schools in New Zealand require applications to have at least 3 to 5 years of work experience. However, to get into MBA courses, it is preferred that you have work experience.
