LOYOLA UNIVERSITY NEW ORLEANS

In the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, there is a Jesuit-affiliated private university known as Loyola University New Orleans. Loyola University Maryland was initially founded in 1904 as Loyola College; however, it was not chartered as a university until 1912. In addition to being a member of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities, it was named after Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit order.
