DILLARD UNIVERSITY

In New Orleans, Louisiana, there is a privately funded historically black university called Dillard University. It was established in 1930 and includes prior organisations that were established as early as 1869 following the American Civil War. It is connected to the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church.
