In Orangeburg, South Carolina, the South Carolina State University (SCSU or SC State) is a historically black, public land-grant university. It is the only historically Black public college in South Carolina that offers land grants, is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and is a member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (SACS).
