Destination Australia Scholarship (International students)
Destination Australia Scholarship
The Destination Australia Scholarship Program is designed for deserving students who seek to receive financial assistance in exchange for living and studying in regional Australia. This year's scholarships are financed by the Australian Government's Department of Education and are open to both domestic and international students.
- The number of Australian universities and other higher institutions that offer Destination Australia Scholarships changes on an annual basis. More than 400 scholarships were offered to deserving students in the class of 2021.
- Awardees of scholarships earn 15,000 Australian dollars plus 1,500 Australian dollars for one academic year, after which their scholarships are renewed based on their academic achievement.
- Tuition costs and living expenses are covered by the scholarship program for more than 1000 participants who are pursuing higher education in Australia.

#Application Process
The Destination Australia Scholarship Program does not have a single or uniform application process. Because applicants must apply for the scholarship through one of 35 authorized education providers, it is up to them to decide how the scholarships will be distributed.
There are some regional education providers, such as the University of Melbourne, that will automatically consider qualified applicants for the scholarship. On the other hand, certain universities, such as Curtin University, have a rigorous application process for applicants to Destination Australia. The following is a step-by-step guide to applying to such universities:
Step 1: Apply for a course of study that is eligible.
Step II: Write and submit a one-page statement outlining "How the Destination Australia Scholarship will help you achieve your career goals and how it will help you improve tomorrow."
Step III: For the scholarships, the assessment panel will review your application and SOP.
Step IV: Successful candidates will be notified of their results by university email. In addition, all rejected candidates will be notified.
Step V: Selected applicants must confirm their acceptance of the Destination Australia Scholarship within the timeframe indicated and using a specific means of confirmation, such as email.
#Selection Process
Each Australian university chooses Destination Australia Scholarship awards based on their acceptance into a full-time degree program at the institution and their continued residency in the region of Australia where the campus is located.
Students applying to Edith Cowan University, for example, will be required to live in the Burbury area for the duration of their studies. Aside from meeting university-specific terms and conditions, students are chosen based on two criteria:
500-word Statement of Purpose for Academic Merit (if the university requires a separate application)
Furthermore, whether or not an interview is used as a criterion for admission depends on the university. For example, James Cook University uses an interview as a criterion for admission. Members of the committee will evaluate each student's application and make a decision based on their findings.
#Grant Details
As previously stated, the number of scholarships and educational providers varies from year to year. It is the goal of the Destination Australia Scholarship program to provide students with the best educational options available in Australia. Students have the opportunity to learn about the culture and natural environments of Australia outside of the major cities. Applicants only need to concentrate on writing a memorable personal statement that showcases their academic and extracurricular accomplishments to be considered for selection.
