UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH ALABAMA

Mobile, Alabama is home to the University of South Alabama (USA), which functions as a public research university. It was established in May of 1963 by the Alabama Legislature, and it took the place of previously existing extension programmes in Mobile that were administered by the University of Alabama. First classes were held in June 1964, and there were 276 students enrolled at that time. The first commencement ceremony was held in June 1967, and 88 students were granted bachelor's degrees at that time.
