ALABAMA STATE UNIVERSITY

In Montgomery, Alabama, Alabama State University (ASU) is a public historically black university. ASU is a member-school of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, which was founded in 1867. At Alabama State, there are more than 70 student clubs, including nine National Pan-Hellenic Council Greek-letter organisations, a full spectrum of intramural and intercollegiate sports for men and women, and 17 honours organisations. Most majors provide musical options, including as marching and symphonic bands, choirs, and departmental organisations, in addition to social, cultural, and religious clubs. The Hornets also have a Student Government Association, which is comprised of every student at the university.
