UNIVERSITY OF PIKEVILLE

Pikeville, Kentucky is home to the private University of Pikeville (UPIKE), which is also known as the University of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America (PCUSA). It was established in 1889 by the Presbyterian Church, and its campus sits atop a hill overlooking the city of Pikeville, Kentucky, and encompasses a total area of 25 acres (10 ha). The Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, one of the three medical schools located in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, is located on the campus of the university. The university has six academic divisions and one medical college, and it had a total enrollment of 2,366 students in the autumn of 2016. The institution awards degrees at the associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctorate levels.
