There are several locations of the University of North Georgia (UNG), which is a public senior military college in the state of Georgia. It is a constituent institution of the University System of Georgia. The North Georgia College & State University, which had its beginnings in 1873, and the Gainesville State College were the two institutions that came together to form the university on January 8, 2013. (founded 1964). There are five different campuses located in Dahlonega, Oakwood (Gainesville Campus), Watkinsville (Oconee Campus), and Cumming. Blue Ridge is the fifth campus.
