SHORTER UNIVERSITY

A private Baptist university called Shorter University is located in Rome, Georgia. It was established in 1873 and has six colleges and schools that grant undergraduate and graduate degrees. Additionally, Shorter runs the School of Nursing and the Robert H. Ledbetter College of Business at locations off-campus in the Rome region. The university competes in NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference, fielding teams known as the Shorter Hawks. The school's and its athletic teams' official colours are blue and white.
