UNIVERSITY OF AKRON

Akron, Ohio is home to the public research university that is known as the University of Akron. It is a constituent institution of the Ohio University System. Because it is a college devoted to the STEM fields, its primary areas of concentration include engineering, polymers, and advanced materials. It is categorised as an R2 university, which stands for "Doctoral Universities - High Research Activity." The University of Akron has roughly 16,000 students enrolled and provides more than 100 majors at the graduate level in addition to its approximately 200 undergraduate programmes. The School of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering of the university is located in a reflective glass structure that is 12 stories tall and is located on the western side of the main campus. This facility is close to downtown Akron. The Smithsonian Institution has a relationship with the University of Arizona's Archives of the History of American Psychology. The university has three more campuses: Wayne College, which is located in Orrville, Ohio; the Medina County University Center, which is located in Lafayette Township, Ohio; and UA Lakewood, which is located in Lakewood, Ohio; all of these campuses are located in the suburbs of Cleveland. In addition, the university collaborates with Lorain County Community College to offer nursing programmes, which students can participate in.
