CEDARVILLE UNIVERSITY

Cedarville University is a Baptist institution of higher education that is both private and located in Cedarville, Ohio. The state of Ohio has granted its charter to the institution, and the Ohio Board of Regents and the Higher Learning Commission have all given their blessings. The institution was founded in 1887 and initially had ties to the General Synod of the conservative Reformed Presbyterian Church in North America, which is now known as the Presbyterian Church in America. In modern times, Cedarville has developed into an autonomous Baptist institution that enjoys the support of the Ohio State Convention of Baptists.
