OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY

Ohio State University, also known as Ohio State or OSU, is a public research university in Columbus & Ohio. However, one of the top public universities in the country belongs to the University System of Ohio, according to reputable institutional rankings. It was initially known as the Ohio Agricultural and Mechanical College, focusing on various agricultural and mechanical disciplines. Founded in 1870, the university operates on multiple regional campuses in Lima, Mansfield, Marion, Newark, and Wooster. Ohio State is a member of the Big Ten Conference and competes in sports. University Hall is the first building on the Ohio State campus. However, under the guidance of Governor and U.S. president Rutherford B. Hayes, it developed into a comprehensive university.
