MISSISSIPPI UNIVERSITY FOR WOMEN

Mississippi University for Women, also known simply as "The W," is a public university in Columbus, Mississippi that welcomes both male and female students. Formerly known as the Industrial Institute and College for the Education of White Girls, the name of this institution was later changed to the Mississippi State College for Women. Since 1982, men have been allowed to enrol at MUW, and they currently account for about 20 percent of the total student body.
