LUBBOCK CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY

Lubbock Christian University, also known simply as LCU, is a Churches of Christ–affiliated, private Christian institution of higher education that can be found in Lubbock, Texas. Lubbock Christian College was initially established in 1954 as a component of a primary school known as Lubbock Christian School. Four years later, in 1957, the institution became an independent junior college known as Lubbock Christian College. In 1972, LCC was elevated to the status of a senior college, and in the fall of 1987, it was granted university status. LCU has 65 undergraduate degrees. At the time of the fall 2015 headcount, there were a total of 1,958 students enrolled at Lubbock Christian University, 462 of whom were enrolled in the graduate programme.
