EAST TEXAS BAPTIST UNIVERSITY

East Texas Baptist University (ETBU) is a Marshall, Texas-based private Baptist university. ETBU is situated at the highest point in Harrison County, on the site of the historic Van Zandt Farm. After an effort to establish a Southern Baptist college in East Texas, ETBU was formed in 1912 as the College of Marshall. The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has granted ETBU accreditation. It is also accredited by the Commissions of Collegiate Nursing Education, the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and the National Association of Schools of Music for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
