During 40,000 people who represent three generations of fashion and design professionals have obtained their education here over the past 78 years. The Ministero dell'Istruzione, dell'Università e della Ricerca, the Italian ministry of education, has classified the Istituto Marangoni as one of the organisations authorised to provide degrees in music, dance, and the arts since June 2016. It has offices in Florence, London, Paris, Shanghai, and Shenzhen in China, Mumbai in India, and Miami in the United States. It is headquartered in Milan, in the northern Italian region of Lombardy.
