HASKELL INDIAN NATIONS UNIVERSITY

Lawrence, Kansas, United States is home to Haskell Indian Nations University, a public land-grant university that serves the local Native American community. Haskell Indian Nations University (HINU) is a public tribal university in Lawrence, Kansas.

It was founded in 1884 as the United States Indian Industrial School, making it the oldest continuously operating Native American tribal college in the United States.

HINU is a member of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC).

The university offers associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, health sciences, and social work.

HINU has a student body of over 1,000 students, with over 90% of students identifying as Native American or Alaska Native.
