The University of the District of Columbia is a public, urban land-grant university with a broad mission to educate and inspire students through education, research, and community service. At the University of the District of Columbia, you can choose from more than 81 different types of programmes. The university has more than 4,270 students, and because it has high standards for education, more than 73 percent of first-year students have stayed in school over the past few years. The University of the District of Columbia is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
There are three campuses at the University of the District of Columbia: the Van Ness Campus, the Georgia/Harvard Street Campus, and the Mount Vernon Square Campus.
UDC's main campus is on Van Ness. On campus, students have access to things like computer labs, parking lots, libraries, and more. The university's main goal is to help students learn and develop in all areas, including leadership, social skills, and cultural awareness.
Students at UDC can use two luxury apartments, 3003 Van Ness and AVA Van Ness, that are not on campus. Off-Campus Housing Services helps students get used to the campus, the larger Van Ness neighbourhood, and Washington, D.C. as a whole.
You can walk to grocery stores, banks, restaurants, the National Cathedral, Rock Creek Park, the Cleveland Park neighbourhood, and the Woodley Park/Adams Morgan area from the apartments. They are also close to the Van Ness/UDC Metro Station on the Red Line, which makes it easy to get to all of DC's major museums, attractions, and landmarks.
