In Tampa, Florida, there is a private university called the University of Tampa (UT). The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has granted it accreditation. More than 200 academic programmes, including 22 master's degrees and a wide range of majors, minors, pre-professional courses, and certifications, are available at UT. Henry B. Plant constructed the Tampa Bay Hotel in 1891, and Plant Hall, UT's main building, previously housed it. The resort's prominent Moorish minarets have long been regarded as a symbol of Tampa.
