UNIVERSITY OF WEST FLORIDA

The University of West Florida (UWF) is a public research university in Pensacola, Florida. The university was founded in 1963 as part of the State University System of Florida, and it is located on the third largest campus in the system, with 1,600 acres (650 ha). Argie the Argonaut is the university's mascot, while the chambered nautilus is its logo. College of Education and Professional Studies; College of Arts, Hal Marcus College of Science; Social Sciences and Humanities; College of Business;  and Engineering; and Usha Kundu, MD College of Health are the five colleges that make up the institution.
