Southeastern University, located in Lakeland, Florida, is a Christian-affiliated, private, liberal arts institution. The Southeastern Bible Institute was founded in 1935 in New Brockton, Alabama. It moved to its current location in Lakeland in 1946 and transitioned into a liberal arts college the following decade, in 1970. It is the largest educational institution run by the Assemblies of God denomination in the United States.
