FLORIDA SOUTHERN COLLEGE

Lakeland, Florida is home to the private institution known as Florida Southern College (often referred to as Southern College or FSC). In 2019, the total number of students attending FSC was 3,073, and there were 130 full-time faculty members teaching those students. The institution provides post-graduate programmes in nursing, education, and physical therapy in addition to its 50 undergraduate majors and pre-professional programmes. The graduate programmes in nursing, business, and education are also offered at the college. The biggest single-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings in the world can be found on the campus of Florida Southern College. According to The Princeton Review's rankings for both 2011 and 2012, Florida Southern University's campus was deemed to be the most attractive in the country. Across a variety of sports, including men's golf (13 titles), baseball (9 titles), women's golf (4), men's basketball (2), softball (1), and women's lacrosse (1), Florida Southern has amassed a total of 30 national championships in NCAA Division II competition (1). Mocsie the water moccasin is recognised as the institution's official mascot; however, the students and faculty more commonly refer to themselves as the Mocs. The college and all of its athletic teams wear the colours red and white as their official uniforms.
