UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA SARASOTA-MANATEE

A satellite campus of the University of South Florida is located in Sarasota, Florida. It is often referred to as USFSM or USF Sarasota-Manatee. USFSM was founded in 1975 as a branch campus of the University of South Florida and received separate accreditation from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in June 2011 to grant bachelor's and master's degrees. As of July 1, 2020, it was combined with the Tampa and St. Petersburg campuses of USF. In its four colleges—Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Science and Math, Business, and Hospitality and Tourism Leadership—USFSM provides more than 40 bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and certificate programs. Over 4,500 students take day, evening, weekend, and online classes each year.
