In Debrecen, Hungary, there is a university called the University of Debrecen. It is Hungary's oldest continually running institution of higher learning (since 1538). The university features a well-established English language programme for overseas students, especially in the medical profession, where English-language instruction was originally created in 1986. The university is home to around 6000 international students. Five past pupils have received technical Academy Awards (Oscars) as of 2014 so far. A related Basic Medicine campus run by the university is located in Geochang County, South Korea.
