There are 210 engineering schools in France, including UniLaSalle, that are allowed to confer engineering degrees. It came into existence as a result of the merger between ESITPA and LaSalle Beauvais. UniLaSalle is a private institution of higher learning that provides integrated degree programmes for its students (accessible directly after high school). It is comprised of two campuses, one in the city of Beauvais and another in the city of Rouen. It provides degree programmes that can be completed in either three or five years and includes engineering degree programmes in the subjects of agriculture, the food industry, food and health, environmental studies, and geology. Additionally, it provides opportunities for continuing education as well as accelerated learning programmes in these areas. In accordance with the terms of the 1901 Act, it operates as a charitable organisation. On July 7, 2016, UniLaSalle was formally recognised as an EESPIG (établissement d'enseignement supérieur privé d'intérêt général, or private higher education establishment in the public interest).
