ABOUT

A private institution located in Brooklyn Heights, New York is known as St. Francis College (also known as St. Francis of Brooklyn or SFC). It was the first private school in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn and was established in 1859 by the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn. At the time of its founding, the school was known as the St. Francis Academy. St. Francis College was originally founded in the City of Brooklyn as a religious school for boys only. Today, it is a tiny liberal arts college that features 19 academic departments and a total of 72 majors and minors for students to choose from. The majority of students at St. Francis College are enrolled in undergrad courses, but the college also offers graduate degrees in accounting, project management, psychology, and creative writing. The city of St. Francis is home to the institution known as St. Francis College, which is classified as a commuter college. As of the year 2019, there were 2,323 students enrolled in the undergraduate programme, of which 6 percent were part-time (51 percent part-time). The Terriers are the name given to St. Francis College's 21 athletic teams, all of which are members of the NCAA's Division I and compete under that umbrella. All of SFC's teams compete in the Northeast Conference, with the exception of the men's and women's water polo squads, who play in the Central Water Polo Association (CWPA) and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), respectively.
