NEW YORK CONSERVATORY FOR DRAMATIC ARTS

New York City is home to a prestigious acting institution known as the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA). Actors for film and television were the focus of the conservatory's original mission, but in 2009 it became accredited to offer Associate degrees in Occupational Studies. These degrees are awarded after students complete a two-year programme and can be earned in either Acting for Film & Television or Musical Theater Performance. The National Association of Schools of Theatre has bestowed its accreditation upon the New York Conservatory (NAST).
