NEW YORK SCHOOL OF INTERIOR DESIGN

The New York School of Interior Design, also known as NYSID, is a private college in New York City that is solely dedicated to the study of interior design. The college provides students with the opportunity to earn certificates, as well as bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. It first opened its doors in 1916 and has been operating out of the same location on New York City's Upper East Side ever since. In the years leading up to its move to its current location on East 70th Street in 1994, NYSID resided in a number of buildings located along Madison Avenue and in the Midtown area. On the corner of Park Avenue South and 28th Street, the college opened its new LEED-Platinum Graduate Center in the year 2010. The New York State Institute of Design (NYSID) is a school that is part of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). The first time it was accredited was in 1996, and it has since received reaccreditation in 2007 and again in 2017.
