OUR LADY OF THE LAKE UNIVERSITY

San Antonio, Texas is home to a prestigious private Catholic university called Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU), also referred to simply as the Lake. The Sisters of Divine Providence, a religious order that had its beginnings in the 18th century in the French region of Lorraine, were the ones who established the organisation in 1895. The university is still supported financially by the Texas chapter of the institute. Our Lady of the Lake University was the first institution of higher education in San Antonio to receive regional accreditation, and the Worden School of Social Service at Our Lady of the Lake University is the oldest Social Work school in the state of Texas. On both its main campus and its satellite campuses in The Woodlands and in the Rio Grande Valley, Our Lady of the Lake University provides students with the opportunity to earn Bachelor's degrees, Master's degrees, and two different types of Doctoral degrees. The Saints, the collegiate athletic team representing the university, are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and compete in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) (NAIA).
