Located in Los Angeles, California, the American Jewish University (AJU) was once known as both the University of Judaism and the Brandeis-Bardin Institute. Today, it is known simply as American Jewish University. Its Whizin Center for Continuing Education is its largest component, with 12,000 students enrolling in non-credit giving classes on an annual basis. Daytime and nighttime offerings of classes, talks, author events, concerts, and performances are made available to members of the community of varying ages. The College of Arts and Sciences is a part of AJU's academic division, and it's where students can earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in subjects like biology and bioethics (pre-med), business administration and innovation, media arts, Jewish studies, politics and global studies, and psychology, among other subjects. In addition, the Fingerhut School of Education, The David L. Lieber Graduate School, and the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, a Conservative Jewish rabbinical institution, all provide graduate degrees through AJU. AJU is home to three different "think tanks," including the Center for Policy Options, the Sigi Ziering Institute for Exploring the Ethical and Religious Implications of the Holocaust, and the Miller Introduction to Judaism Program, which helps students convert to Judaism and engages interfaith couples and families. The University is responsible for Camp Alonim, Gan Alonim Day Camp, and the BCI Program, all of which are located at the Brandeis-Bardin Campus.
