UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA

In Edmond, Oklahoma, there is a public university called the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO or Central State). With more than 17,000 students and 434 full-time and 400 adjunct faculty members, it is the third-largest institution in Oklahoma. One of the earliest universities to be formed in what would later become the state of Oklahoma, the University of Central Oklahoma was founded in 1890, making it one of the oldest universities in the southwest of the country. The American division of the British Academy of Contemporary Music is located there in Oklahoma City's central business district.
