The private university Susquehanna University was founded in 1858. It is in the Pennsylvania town of Selinsgrove. The university is a liberal arts college in a rural part of central Pennsylvania. It only teaches students in their first year of college. It is led by the president, a group of 56 people who make up the governing body, and a team of administrators. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has given permission for the university to open. The ratio of students to teachers at Susquehanna is 13:1, and 90% of full-time teachers have a doctorate or the highest equivalent degree. The university has more than 100 majors, minors, and programmes, and students can plan their own majors.
