Simon Fraser University (SFU) is located in British Columbia, with three campuses in Canada, all in Greater Vancouver: Burnaby (main campus), Vancouver, and Surrey. SFU is a public research university. The (420-acre) 170-hectare main Burnaby campus on Burnaby Mountain, located 20 kilometers (12 miles) from downtown Vancouver, was established in 1965 and comprised more than 30,000 students and 160,000 alums.
