PENNSYLVANIA STATE UNIVERSITY HARRISBURG

Penn State Harrisburg, also known as The Capital College, is a campus of the Pennsylvania State University that serves as both an undergraduate and graduate institution. It is situated in Lower Swatara Township, which is approximately 9 miles (15 kilometres) south of Harrisburg. Over 5,000 students are enrolled at this campus, which also provides two associate degrees, 34 bachelor's degrees, 24 master's degrees, and three doctoral degrees in addition to certificate and certification programmes. From the time it was established in 1966 until it began admitting first-year and second-year students in 2004, it was only an upper division college, meaning that it served only juniors and seniors. The Pennsylvania Securities Commission and the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System are two of the state agencies that have their headquarters in the Penn State Eastgate Center, which first opened its doors in 1991 in the heart of downtown Harrisburg. The building is also home to hearing rooms for workers' compensation claims, which are also located there. The Middletown campus is now home to all of the classrooms and administrative staff that were formerly housed in this building. This change took effect on June 1, 2012.
