KWANTLEN POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY

In British Columbia, Canada, Kwantlen Polytechnic University (sometimes abbreviated as KPU) is a public undergraduate polytechnic university that awards degrees. The institution primarily functions as a polytechnic university for undergraduates. On October 24, 2008, KPU joined the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC). Douglas College was split up to become Kwantlen College in 1981. Kwantlen University College launched a successful campaign in 2005 to persuade elected officials at the local, provincial, and different important community leaders to support its quest to become a university. Ryan Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds, and Lindsay Hudyma are all alumni's of the university.
