In New Zealand, there are three campuses for the government-owned Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT): in Auckland, Hawke's Bay, and Gisborne. It is also known as EIT Auckland, EIT Tairwhiti, and EIT Hawke's Bay. For the Hawke's Bay and Gisborne regions, EIT acts as the primary regional higher education center. Two faculties make it up. Te Ranga Waka - Te Whatukura, Toihoukura, Education and Social Sciences, Health and Sport Science, Nursing schools, and an Ideaschool are all part of the Faculty of Educations, Humanities, and Health Science. Tourism and Hospitality, English Language Center, Trades and Technology, Business, Computing, and Applied Science schools are part of the Faculty of Commerce and Technology.

RANKINGS OF EASTERN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

EIT is ranked among the top polytechnics in New Zealand. In the 2023 Performance Based Research Fund (PBRF) ranking, EIT was ranked 12th out of 17 polytechnics. EIT also has a number of programs that are ranked highly in their respective fields
