The city of Saint Paul, Minnesota is home to the private university known as Concordia University, St. Paul. It has been in operation since 1893 and currently has about 5,600 pupils enrolled. It is a part of the Concordia University System, which is run by the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, which is the second-largest Lutheran church body in the United States. This university is located in St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to 1964, the institution only offered a two-year degree programme. In 1997, the institution officially changed its name to Concordia University, St. Paul.
