Located in Bloomington, Minnesota, Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) is a private university with a concentration on complementary medicine. Chiropractic, Traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, therapeutic massage, Allied health professions, and human biology are all taught at the university. John B. Wolfe, DC, founded the institution in 1941. Northwestern Health Sciences University, formerly Northwestern College of Chiropractic, has spent more than 70 years emphasising alternative and integrative health care education, patient treatment, and research. The Wolfe-Harris Center for Clinical Studies at NWHSU has grown to be one of the country's major centres for the study of natural health care since its founding in 1991.
