CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY DOMINGUEZ HILLS

The California State University, Dominguez Hills is a public university that is located in Carson, California. It is also referred to as CSU Dominguez Hills and Cal State Dominguez Hills. It is a member institution of the California State University (CSU) system and was established in the year 1960. There were 17,763 students enrolled at the university in the year 2020, with 15,873 being undergraduates (89.4% of the total) and 1,890 being post baccalaureates (10.6% of the total). Students who are the first in their families to attend college make up about half of the total student population. One of the universities in the western United States with the greatest racial and economic diversity is California State University, Dominguez Hills. It enrols the highest number and percentage of students who identify as African American of any campus in the CSU system. The number of African American students who graduate from CSUDH exceeds that of any other public university in California, which helps the university maintain its position at the top of the national rankings for degree production by minority students. Within its six colleges—the College of Arts and Humanities, the College of Business Administration and Public Policy, the College of Education, the College of Extended and International Education, the College of Health, Human Services and Nursing, and the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences—CSUDH confers a total of 53 Bachelor's degrees, 26 Master's programmes, a variety of single, multi-subject, and specialised teaching credentials, and a number of undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate certificate programmes. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College and University Commission has granted the university its accreditation (WSCUC).
