ASHFORD UNIVERSITY

Formerly known as Ashford University, the University of Arizona Global Campus is a completely online educational institution that is "administered in association with the University of Arizona." In the year 2020, the University of Arizona completed its purchase of Ashford University, transforming it into the University of Arizona Global Campus. The online degree programmes of Ashford University are managed by Zovio, a for-profit higher education firm that was formerly the campus's owner. Zovio, which was originally known as Bridgepoint Education, is a for-profit education technology services firm. Until the year 2020, Ashford University was a holding of Zovio. The university accepts students on a first-come, first-served basis and caters to working adults. It is an open enrollment institution that provides more than 50 online degree programmes leading to associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. The division of general education, the Forbes School of Business & Technology (FSBT), the College of Education, the College of Health, Human Services, and Science, and the College of Liberal Arts are the five colleges that make up the university. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College and University Commission has issued a Notice of Concern to the University of Arizona Global Campus over its accreditation.
