ABOUT

The University of the Arts was founded in 1876 when the Philadelphia College of Art and the Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts joined together. After getting university status in 1987, the school grew to be the largest of its kind in the country, with programmes in design, fine arts, media arts, crafts, music, dance, theatre, writing, and writing for children. Located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, in the cultural district of Center City. About 1,900 people are enrolled in the 43 undergraduate and graduate programmes at The University of the Arts. The university's Division of Continuing Studies also offers classes through its Continuing Education, Summer Music Studies, and Professional Institute for Educators programmes.

ACCOMODATION

There are rooms available on campus Students can choose to live on or off campus at their university. Living on campus is like living in an apartment in Center City Philadelphia. There are places to stay off campus. Average rent is between 850 and 1050 USD per month. Studio apartments, 3-bedroom apartments, 4-bedroom apartments, and shared apartments are all different types of places to live. The apartments have bedrooms that are all the same size, which is great for all roommates. Apartments have central air conditioning and heating, updated kitchens with ceramic floors, and secured entry with an intercom. Most of the apartments are near public transportation, which is very convenient.
