UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA WESTERN

A public university located in Dillon, Montana is known as the University of Montana Western (UMW). It is a constituent institution of the Montana University System in addition to having ties to the University of Montana. In 1893, the institution that is now known as Montana State Normal School was established. The institution was initially established as a facility for the education of educators. Before being a part of the Montana University System in the year 2000, it was once known as Western Montana College of the University of Montana. As of the Fall 2018 semester, there were a total of 1,221 degree-seeking students enrolled in the university on a full-time basis.
