SAINT PETER'S UNIVERSITY

In Jersey City, New Jersey, there is a private Jesuit university called Saint Peter's University. The Society of Jesus established it in 1872 as Saint Peter's College. More than 2,600 undergraduate and 800 graduate students can choose from more than 60 undergraduate and graduate programmes at the university. Its athletic teams compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, of which it is a founding member, and its mascot is the peacock. Just south of Journal Square on a 30-acre (12-ha) campus, the university is 2 miles (3 km) west of New York City. In Jersey City, Englewood Cliffs, and South Amboy, classes are available on the weekends and in the evenings. St. Peter's was listed as the 58th best regional college in the North in the 2022 edition of US News and World Report.
