ABOUT

The Minot, North Dakota campus of Minot State University, also known as MSU or MiSU, is a public university. Minot State University is the third-largest university in North Dakota and was initially established in 1913 as a normal school. Today, the university offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes. Since its establishment in 1913 as a normal school, which preceded its status as a university, Minot State University has developed into a university. The university's academic offerings are divided between three colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, and the College of Education and Health Sciences. In subjects such as communication disorders, management, and mathematics, students have the opportunity to earn one of nine master's degrees and one education specialist degree. At the undergraduate level, there is a combination of liberal arts and professional programmes offering more than 60 different majors to choose from. MSU is one of the eleven colleges and universities that make up the North Dakota University System, which also includes community colleges and institutions offering doctoral and master's degrees. The State Board of Higher Education is the governing board of the System, and its membership consists of nine different individuals. The Board of Regents at Minot State University serves both as an advisory board and as a champion for the university as a whole. The beaver serves as the official mascot of Minot State University, and the school colours are red and green (though Maroon has sometimes been used in the past). The Red and Green is the name of the student newspaper on campus. The campus of Michigan State University can be found at the foot of North Hill, just west of Broadway.
