Lakeland College is a post-secondary institution that can be found in the Canadian province of Alberta. It receives funding from the government and has two campuses, one in Vermilion and one in Lloydminster. During the course of the academic year, Lakeland College has more than 7,000 students enrolled, of which 2,223 are full- or part-time students. Lakeland College, which is Canada's only inter-provincial college, was established in 1975 as a result of a partnership agreement between the provincial governments of Alberta and Saskatchewan. It serves students from both of those jurisdictions. The Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan are separated by the city of Lloydminster, which sits on both sides of the border. Both Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICAN) and the Alberta Rural Development Network count Lakeland College among their ranks of affiliated institutions.
