Bastyr University is a private institution that focuses on complementary and alternative medicine and has campuses in both San Diego, California, and Kenmore, Washington. There are courses available in naturopathy, acupuncture, Traditional Asian medicine, nutrition, herbal medicine, ayurvedic medicine, and midwifery. There are also courses in psychology. As a school that is "accredited but not recommended," Bastyr University was included on the list of "questionable organisations" maintained by Quackwatch, an organisation that fights against health fraud.
